SENATOR MADIGAN DISCUSSES ILLINOIS' FUTURE AT UIC

State Senator Lisa Madigan (D-Chicago) will discuss the future of Illinois and the educational challenges the state faces, followed by a question and answer session, as part of UIC's Future of Chicago public affairs series.

  • Her opinion on the Illinois First Program and its effect on the state
  • The impact of the changing infrastructure in Illinois
  • The future of government as it relates to young people
  • The role the Internet plays in public officials' accessibility
The Future of Chicago is an annual lecture program that promotes public debate on Chicago issues. It is organized by Dick Simpson, UIC professor of political science and former Chicago alderman, and Doug Gills, assistant professor in the college of urban planning and public affairs. UIC has hosted the public program since 1976.
