LATINO CULTURAL CENTER PRESENTS TANGO NIGHT WITH ARGENTINE STAR

WHAT:

UIC's Rafael Cintron-Ortiz Latino Cultural Center presents, direct from Buenos Aires, Argentina, "Esto si que es Tango/This is Tango" with Susana Rinaldi.

WHO:

Rinaldi, the "queen of tango," has a voice that reproduces the intimate encounter of a typical café concert in Buenos Aires. Her last U.S. performance was at Carnegie Hall for the Millennium celebration.

WHEN:

Saturday,
Oct. 7 7 p.m.

WHERE:

UIC Chicago Circle Center, Illinois Room 750 S. Halsted St.

DETAILS:

Tango is often a story of life written by a bleeding heart -- serious and real. Rinaldi is faithful to her style, always developing herself and illuminating the path for an intimate encounter. The message of her present show reflects the artist's warm touch with her audience.

Cost is $15 for general public; $10 for UIC faculty or staff; $5 for UIC students with I.D. For ticket information call (312) 996-3095.

Sponsors include United Airlines, La Raza newspaper and the Consul General of Argentina.
