"OOZEBALL" MUD VOLLEYBALL TOURNEY BREAKS TENSION OF FALL CLASSES

WHAT:

Twelve co-ed teams of University of Illinois at Chicago students will slip and slide more than set and spike as they compete in a mud volleyball tournament for cash and prizes. The Chicago skyline forms a dramatic - but wholly unnecessary - backdrop.

WHEN:

Sept. 5
10 a.m. - 2 p.m.

WHERE:

Harrison Field
Halsted and Harrison streets

DETAILS:

Now in its 12th year and a true fall classic, Oozeball is played in a pit of wet, gushy mud. It's hard to tell the winners from the losers - all have mud in the hair, mud on the face ... mud everywhere.

Oozeball is sponsored by the UIC Student Alumni League, the University of Illinois Alumni Association and UPS.
